And so you are prepared to build your own profitable business. Just what are the first actions you must take? Exactly where will you get customers? More importantly, Precisely what kind of potential customers do you require?

One of the main considerations while you are marketing your business concerns potential customers. You do not want to try to sell puppies to cat lovers or vice versa. In network marketing or mlm’s there are 3 general customers. Of course you have people who will buy just the product or service. Then you have people who will be more interested in the business itself. Of those you have people who are experienced in home business and those who are not.

As is the case with most home business opportunities there are rewards for direct sales and for introducing others to the opportunity. The latter can be very lucrative because you are able to reap the rewards from what others in your organization are achieving. Whichever group you decide to focus on is totally up to you. Whichever group you make your primary focus matters but you will still need certain functions operating within your business.

One fact that many people do not like to face is that this is sales. Owners like to shove it under the rug because so many people have crappy feelings about being a sales person. Consider the fact that if no sales are being made you are not making earning any profits.

Now of course some methods make sales easier. Picture a sales person giving a presentation. It is more effective with a slide presentation or power point than if he or she is just up in front of a room talking. Well with the power of the web power-points can do the explaining before you even talk to the person. The right marketing and advertising can draw all the right people while tools do most of the work for you.

While some people do not look favorably on sales it is one of the highest paying careers on the planet. After all without a salesperson all products sit in a warehouse and with no truck drivers delivering them. Companies go out of business. Competition stops.

Also, keep in mind that sales-people are among the highest paid people in the world. Just like a home business owner, sales people are usually directly compensated for their performance.

However, if you like being just another number and getting paid what a job is worth and do not want to be rewarded according to your efforts and performance then maybe home business success is not for you.

Keep 3 things in mind;

1) Statistically 80% of sales are made after the 6th contact.

2) Statistically 80% of the reps make far below what the top 20% do in sales

3) Stats also show that the bottom 80% rarely follow up more than 3 times.

Hopefully you are starting to see the link here. The top 20% do what the bottom 80% don’t - they follow up repeatedly and it shows in immense incomes.

Now when it comes to using the internet for your home business success there are many tips and tools that can enhance your performance. One thing you will need if you end up generating a lot of traffic is an automated way to follow up. You may be able to physically follow up with 10-20 people a day but with the power of the internet you could feasibly generate far more prospects than you could ever handle.

That is where auto-responders come in handy. An auto-responder simply follows up with emails “auto”matically. After a prospect becomes a prospect then these automatic emails do much of the follow up and relationship building for you. You should find out as much as you can about auto-responders and all the other internet marketing tools if you want true home business success.

You have opened a new business and you want to start marketing your products. First you need customers. So you go out and buy some targeted leads. You decide to send out some mailers to these leads. You pay for postage, printing, and the cost of the leads. These totals $5000.00. Your response to this marketing strategy is one half of one percent. You get fifty orders at $100.00 an order and you just broke even.

How about calling all your family and friends and having a meeting over at your house. Do a demonstration of your products…We all know where that will end up. Zero! Granted good search engine optimization is important and you must use keywords to get your article found on article submission sites and with the search engines. However, too much of a good thing can alienate your readers and decrease the traffic you receive to your site. When you use keywords, place them strategically instead of stuffing the content so full that it is hard to decipher.

Beware of The Ultimate Sins Of Article Submission

While using your website content may seem like the easy way out by copying and pasting, it will only hurt you in the long run if you use it for article submission sites. Search engines are not in favor of duplicate content and you will hurt your article and website rankings by duplicating your own content.
